


I can get as far as connecting 3 pairs and all report back fine but as soon as I connect the 4th pair (doesn't matter which one goes last) then I get the split pair error. If I connect all the other pairs just on their own. If I connect only wires 1 + 2 the tester says 1 + 2 are good (and that the other pairs are missing)

I am using a LAN tester and it if I wire everything up (T568B) it gives me a 'Split Pair' error. It hasn't been used in many years but now I need it to work to get a network socket in this building. Hi, we have an underground ethernet cable connecting two buildings (installed more than 10 years ago).
